Robot mowers and virtual fences helped restore thousands of hectares in Scotland

A five-year conservation program in Scotland restored more than 3,500 hectares across 11 wildlife reserves, using tools including robot mowers and virtual livestock fencing alongside conventional habitat work and community participation.
Species including choughs and capercaillie benefited from habitat improvements, while the project also supported local jobs and volunteer work.
