Byron Bay’s quieter neighbor lands on Lonely Planet’s 2027 Best in Travel list
The Tweed region is being promoted as the anti-Byron: dramatic scenery and strong local culture without quite as much glamour or crowd pressure.
Australia’s Tweed region, directly north of Byron Bay, was named to Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2027 list.
The region combines rainforest, volcanic landscapes, small towns, beaches and a strong local food culture.
